About Us
After making wines for over a decade, we broke ground for the Pomona
Winery in 1989, opening as a licensed winery in 1991. At that time, we
were the second winery in the area and the sixth in the state.
We released our first two apple wines in 1993, and we opened our first
tasting room (in our cellar) in 1995. In 1995 we also teamed up with
Alto Vineyards, Owl Creek Vineyards and the Carbondale and Southernmost Illinois Tourism bureaus to create the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. In
the fall of 2004 we opened our new tasting room upstairs.
We have been making wine for over 25 years, and we think you will enjoy the
variety and quality of these exceptional non grape wines. We look
